Thank you for supporting the Rotary Club of Steamboat Springs by purchasing your summer flower barrels and baskets!
The Rotary Club of Steamboat Springs has been supporting local nonprofits since 1974, and the flower barrel fundraiser has been one of the organization’s key fundraisers for over 30 years. The fundraiser generates around $15,000 annually, which goes right back into the community, and the barrels beautify downtown and residences!
The wooden barrels were originally built by students in the welding program in Hayden. Their hard work served the fundraiser for many years; however, it was time for a change. A year ago, we removed all of the wood and turned the bases over to the very talented artist and welder, Cactofab (Cactus Nemec). Cactus preserved the bases and added corrugated metal with a Rotary emblem as the new surround! The updated barrels are more modern, look great, and will last for years to come!
Jennifer MacNeil, from Yampa Valley Botanic Park, designed the flower recipe, bringing expertise to the flower choices. The flowers are grown just a couple of hours away in Vernal, UT.
This event is a true community event. It is only possible through everyone’s involvement, and your purchase is as important as every other step of the process. We could not make any of this possible without you!
Delivery of barrels will happen in mid-June, and we would love you to join us for a BBQ on the night of delivery. Date, time, and venue to be determined as we see the weather closer to flower time!

- Metal Barrels ($125 + 8.4% tax = $135.50 per barrel)
- Terracotta Barrels ($125 + 8.4% tax = $135.50 per barrel)
- Hanging Baskets ($65 + 8.4% tax = $70.46 per hanging basket)
- For Businesses and Organizations who hold a valid current tax-exempt certificate:
- Metal Barrels ($125 per barrel)
- Terracotta Barrels ($125 per barrel)
- Hanging Baskets ($65 per barrel)
- Note: to qualify for these tax-exempt rates, you will need to email a copy of your current tax-exempt certificate to info@steamboatrotary.org at the time of your order

Flowers will be delivered in early June and picked up late September.
