A message from Dan Kapsak of the Rotary Fellowship of Cycling Rotarians:
The Rotary Fellowship Cycling to Serve is alive in the US! The international Fellowship has been a source of support and camaraderie for Rotarians and their families who enjoy cycling in all its forms—road, MTB, ‘cross, cruising. Come join us in spreading the Rotary word as we enjoy the miles together.
We had several members who turned out for The Buffalo Bicycle Classic, to benefit the scholarship program for the University of Colorado, Boulder. This was on September 9th, starting and ending at the university. This was the tenth edition of the ride, and they had set out a special option: a ride up Boulder Canyon with the road closed to traffic!
Next up is El Tour de Tucson, to benefit Polio Plus. The ride will be on Saturday, November 17th. A group of us is planning to drive(?) down for the ride. Rumor has it that the Secretary General of RI will be joining the ride! The best link to register would be http://www1.perimeterbicycling.com/el-tour-de-tucson/register-now/.
If you have any questions about the fellowship, membership, or otherwise, please feel free to Dan Kapsak dkapsak@niwotrotary.org.
We are in the process of restoring and renewing our US website and communications media; any Rotarian who has web/internet/social media experience who is willing to pitch in, please contact either myself or Jo Kirkenaer at jkirkenaer@niwotrotary.org.
We are also in need of a national board to provide leadership and support for the fellowship. Again, please contact me if you are interested or with questions.
Dan Kapsak, Rotary Club of Niwot
