As usual, Rex's crew did a great job with the tables spaced well, lots of shade, and pre-plated delicious lunches served quickly. Chris Stillwell put in so much time to assure the PA is working well and Mark Fitzgerald continues to improve the Zoom integration!

Chief Cory Christensen was our program today. I think I can speak for everyone who heard his presentation (and probably those who didn't) when I say that we are so lucky to have Chief Christensen here in Steamboat. Brett Allison, Jim Moylan, John Holloway, and Kristal and Mike Eckley installed Rotary Signs on Rotary Trail last week. Thanks, team, for getting those up and finishing up another portion of the Rotary Trail. A couple of pictures of the signs are attached.
John Weibel's Farm to Table dinner at Moon Hill Dairy raised $6300 for our club! Thank you John!
Eric Rabesa is working with the City of Steamboat Springs to put a "resting area" up on Emerald Mountain. This will be constructed of logs. He hopes to involve the Interact Club in this project and would welcome help from fellow Rotarians.

SURPRISE: Geneva Taylor turns 79 on August 15th and there is a "Surprise Birthday Drive By" at 5PM - 6PM that evening. There will be a table set up outside for dropping cards, gifts, or flowers. Board Meeting Update:
We were able to contribute $12k to YVCF to wrap up the 2019/2020 year. Congrats Randy and that BOD for making that a reality! With this contribution, our local endowment will be over $700K. This year, the grants committee will be able to grant out $27K to our community.
Steve Hitchcock has sold his house and will be leaving Steamboat. He has accepted the offer to remain an Honorary member and hopes to join us when back in the boat doing business. “Being a member of this club has been a highlight of my life in Steamboat Springs for most of the last 2 decades. I am proud of the service work the club has accomplished in those years and have enjoyed the fellowship of members. I plan to find another club when we settle someplace.”
The BOD approved spending $2500 at the 4H auction. The plan is to purchase an animal and donate the meat to a local nonprofit. Thanks for representing us at the virtual auction Susie Wilkinson!
Next week's program is the Foundation Program presented by Scott Marr, Paula Cooper Black, Steve Hitchcock, Jim Moylan and Ellen Kendall. Mark Fitzgerald will be running the meeting at Rex's again.
