The club's board of director's had a productive meeting in July, which included adopting the 2012-2013 budget (which will be available on clubrunner in the next day or so), selecting the Rotary International Presidential and District Governor goals that we hope to achieve this year, deciding to develop a volunteer solicitation policy (similar to the donation solicitation policy), and agreeing on some initial criteria for the fundraising event analysis. The PR committee, led by Randy Rudasics, agreed to review the club's PR efforts and to make recommendations on how we want to proceed with PR efforts in the future. Finally, the board thought it was reasonable to look at what a new (or perhaps old?) and different fundraising model might look like and agreed with Steve Hitchcock's proposal to explore what it would take to do food sales at the free concerts or at art in the park (in lieu of something that we are currently doing.) This new fundraising idea would go through the same assessment that we are using for existing fundraising events.
If you have anything that you would like the board to consider or discuss, please come to the next board meeting - Monday, August 13th at noon at Rex's.
