Cole Miller - Student of the Month for April 2013

The Steamboat Springs Rotary Club is pleased to honor Cole Miller, from the Hayden High School, as Student of the Month for April 2013.  Cole is an impressive and hardworking young man who always has a great outlook, respect and maturity. Cole is ranked in the top 15% of his class with a 3.82 GPA. He has challenged himself by taking rigorous courses including Advanced Placement and Honors courses in English, Science, and Math. Cole has also taken advantage of dual enrollment courses and received College Credit and Certifications for Welding during his time in the Babson-Carpenter Career and Technical Education Center.  

Cole has been on the Honor Roll all four years he has attended Hayden High School and, among other high achievements, Cole scored a 27 on the ACT.  Teachers comment that Cole is a leader, hard worker, respectful, good communicator and industrious. They also state that he pays great attention to detail, has great work ethic, is a team player and is self-directed. Cole is also very punctual and has almost perfect attendance.

Upon graduation on May 20, 2012, Cole will attend Colorado State University where he will study Mechanical Engineering.

Mr. Paul Scoppa, HHS Construction Trades teacher, stated, “[Cole] is always willing to help anyone in need of assistance”.

Mr. Kevin Kleckler, HHS Vocational and Technical Education Teacher, commented that Cole is “an outstanding young man with tremendous work ethic and who has an attention to detail. He will be a great asset to the engineering profession.”
