Community Grants from the Club's Endowment

Interest and earnings from the principal balance of the Rotary Club of Steamboat Springs' endowment fund at the Yampa Valley Community Foundation is used by the Steamboat Springs Rotary Club to support youth and seniors in the community with small grants awarded through the club's grant program.  From January to June of 2012, our club awarded $4,000 grants from the endowment fund.  Grant recipients include:

• Hayden School district ($500)
• Partners in Routt County ($400)
• Reach out and Read Colorado ($500)
• Animal Assistance League ($250)
• Steamboat Springs School District RE-2 ($450)
• Yampatika ($300)
• Yampa Valley Sustainability Council ($400)
• Pregnancy Resource Center ($600)
• Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association ($600)

The club's budget for community grants in the 2012-2013 Rotary year is $10,000.  Grant applications are posted on the club's website, need to be sponsored by a club member, and need to be submitted by Sept. 15, Dec. 15 or March 15 to be considered for funding during the current fiscal year.   Complete applications should be emailed to Jane Toothaker (jtoothaker@nwboces.org), the chair of our grants committee.  (If you'd like to serve on the grants committee, please let Jane know.)
