Thanks to everyone who joined our meeting on Tuesday!  We had 66 people on our Zoom meeting including 55 Steamboat Rotarians and 11 guests.

We opened our meeting with a special video of Brian Harrington's son, Charlie, singing the National Anthem at the Army-Navy Game over the weekend!  Here is that video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PoHIKziyf4

Ashley Kane offered our Thought for the Day from Maya Angelou: "I’ve learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way they handle 3 things: rainy days, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas lights"
Thank you Coleman Cook for leading Good News today.  Coleman raised $660.  A big thank you to our club and all of your Good News participation.  We are at 91% of our goal for the year on Good News!  Keep it up!  Let's give the Scholarship tons of money to grant to local students this spring!
Thank you, Tara Weaver, for leading us in Grant Recipient Presentations - Part 2.  We heard from Linda John at the Steamboat Soccer Club, Sue Fegelein from LiftUp Routt County, Jack & Kim Smith from Routt County 4-H Robotics Program, Brian Smith from Steamboat Mountain School, Lisel Petis from Advocates of Routt County, Dagny McKinley from Steamboat Creates, and Mindy Marriott from REPS.  The presentation is attached.

Announcements and Upcoming:

If you have not yet picked up your Ohana shirt, please connect with Tara Weaver.

Holly Rogers did first readings for new members Steve Jensen and Matthew Rochon.  If you have any concerns, please submit them in writing to myself or Holly Rogers.

Kris Hammond updated us on the Agua Prieta Club.  Though we will not be able to visit our friends in Agua Prieta this year, the International Committee continues to find ways to support them from a distance.  The Club has sent $3,500 to Agua Prieta to improve a preschool (ages 1-4) in Fronteras.  The funds will add tables, chairs, education materials, and games, while also fixing up the room, for the children.  We look forward to getting back down to Agua Prieta in 2022!

Jeff Swoyer is looking for someone to take over the Raffle Master responsibilities.  Please reach out to him if this interests you.

Please don't forget to follow the Rotary Fa-La-La.  All videos are posted on www.facebook.com/steamboatrotary as well as at www.steamboatrotary.com.  Tonight is Stephanie Blake singing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" with Pat Waters on guitar.  The dinner special is Ore House at Pine Grove.  The full schedule is posted at the end of the email.  Bonus: You will get a Rotary ornament with your to-go order!

Next week's program will be David Franzel from the Yampa Valley Airport Commission.
