We received an update on the USA Pro-Challenge from Kara Stoller and Jim Schneider on behalf of the Chamber Resort Association. Steamboat Springs will be on the world cycling stage in August! Thank you both for all your work on this project! Here are the links:

Sharon Mensing was our Greeter and introduced our guests and visiting Rotarians. Thank you, Sharon.

Jim provided our Thought for the Day and once again resorted to: “Paraprosdokian Sentences” and “Disorder in the American Courts.”

Thank you to Kris Hammond for encouraging a record-breaking Good News, if not in Club History, at least for this Rotary year. See, below.

June was very busy, and at the time of the meeting, we were just half way through!

We recognized and thanked Kathy and Gillian for their phenomenal work on the Flower Barrels. We recognized all those Club members who delivered the Flower Barrels on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 9 and 10, 2015. We really have helped to beautify our town. Thank you again, Gillian and Kathy.

Next we recognized and thanked our Ski Town Golf Classic, team led by Jackie Brown and so ably assisted by Tara Weaver and Glen Traylor, as Co-chairs. We also recognized the rest of the Committee. It is a monumental job and the weekend, June 12-13, 2015 was a great success. This is our biggest fund-raiser and we could not do it without all the help we received from our Club members. Thank you again, Jackie, Tara, Glen and the entire Ski Town Golf Classic Committee.

As if this was not busy enough, Rotary Action was published as an insert to Steamboat Today on Friday, June 12, 2015. Fantastic job Public Relations Committee! A special Kudos and well done to Lisa Schlichtman for taking the laboring oar on that issue. Thank you all.

Still looking for volunteers to assist with the Peace Pavilion Dedication Committee, (August 11, 2015) and the 4^th of July Parade.
