FOR THOSE ROTARIANS WHO MISSED THE TUESDAY, MAY 26, 2015 MEETING
Dan Shields presented his Classification Talk. Then, John Holloway presented his Vintage Classification Talk. That was our Program for the Tuesday, May 26, 2015 meeting. Thank you Dan and John for your interesting, informative and educational presentations. Always good for the Club to get to know each of our members on a deeper level.
Thank you to our Greeters, Sharon Mensing and Larry Carlson. Sharon also introduced our Guests and Visiting Rotarians. Thank you both for your good work.
Paul Hebert provided our Thought for the Day and the theme was: “Rain.”
Winnie sought to create a pool of Rotarians who can be called upon to provide home hosting for out of town Program speakers, and other Rotarians visiting Steamboat on some type of Rotary business, when and where necessary. Please touch base with Winnie if you can assist.
Paula circulated a sign-up sheet for Rotary Park Clean-up this Summer.
Jackie and Tara brought us up to speed on the Ski Town Golf Classic. We are need of wine donations and the golf course is filling up quickly. June 12-13, 2015.
Flower Barrels are coming up quickly, as we were reminded by Kathy and Gillian. We will be pulling and repairing the barrels at the Rodeo Grounds on Saturday, June 6, 2015. Flower Barrel distribution – 5:00 pm Thursday, June 9, 2015, Rodeo Grounds - followed by a family bar-b-que from “The Smokehouse.” There will be a regular Club meeting at Noon on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at The Grand.
Ellen is still looking for volunteers for the Rotary Peace Pavilion Dedication Committee. The Dedication t will be held on August 11, 2015.
Rotarian Work Day, Saturday – American Legion Hall - 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Tara and Jackie are
Involved with this project.
Rachelle Summers handled Good News for us. Thanks to Dan Callahan on his 80th Birthday donation –
(Congratulations Dan!), some other birthday money from our May birthday Club members, an
Anniversary donation from Cheryl Krumrie, and just some plain: “Good news” donations. We did very
well for our Scholarship Fund!
