Today's program was Mo DeMorat from Routt County Emergency Management. In a year when we have heard a lot from the Routt County Emergency Management team, it was great to get a better understanding of their vision, mission, and all of the areas that they help our community. Rotary Cares: Debbie Aragon was back on the call thanking everyone for all of the delicious food. Her husband John is encouraging her to get her other hip replaced in order to keep the meals coming! ;-) Marci Valicenti also expressed her thanks for all of the support the club has given Debbie Aragon, Dan Bonner, and Adam Wilson in times of need! If you find yourself in a situation where you could use help, please do not hesitate to reach out to Marci!
Member Introductions: Thanks to Jim Grew and Steve Sehnert for coming up with and implementing the idea to make "Member Introduction" speeches (fka Classification Talks) available on the website. You will need to login at www.steamboatrotary.com. Once logged in, you will have access to these presentations so you can get to know fellow members better.
Snowmobile Poker Run: Eric Rabesa and Brett Allison are working on a new fundraiser/community event- a Snowmobile Poker Run. Details are still being worked out so be on the lookout for more information and ways you can help them pull this event off! Tentative date is the last weekend in March.
Thankuary: Although we are nearing the end of Thankuary, next month is Lovuary, and the month after is March Gladness. April Showers (of love and thanks) follows next! Keep that gratitude and positivity going! If you wonder if Thankuary is being received in the community, my kids received a letter from Dr. Neidermeyer thanking them for their thank you!
Pickleball Happy Hours: The first Rotary Pickleball Happy Hour was last week and it was a blast! Loretta Conway is putting together more Rotary Happy Hour Pickleball on the last Tuesdays of February (23rd), March (30th) and April (27th) from 5-6:30 for 8 players maximum. Cost is $5 per person and preregistration is required. Preregister by calling 879-8400 or emailing loretta@steamboat10s.com.
Mid Year Financial Review: Karl Gills gave the club a mid year overview of our financial status (attached). The club is a good position financially, and Karl specifically highlighted two areas that stand out. The first was the Moonhill Dairy Farm to Table fundraiser which brought in $6300 to the club. Thanks John Weibel! The second is scholarships, funded by Good News, which is currently at $20,000, $10,000 over our year end goal! Thank you Rotarians for your continued generosity to the scholarship fund!

2021 Ford Bronco Sport or $20,000 Raffle for Cheyenne Rotary Foundation Fundraiser
Starting in January through the end of May, the Cheyenne Rotary Club is raffling tickets for a chance to win a new 2021 Ford Bronco Sport or $20,000. All proceeds being raised will go towards the Cheyenne Rotary Club Foundation to add to the impact of Rotary’s charitable work in Cheyenne. This fundraiser will help Cheyenne Rotary build the endowment to reach the $1million goal which will ensure long term, sustainable local community service. Only 2500 tickets will be sold. Raffle tickets can be purchased online or from any Rotary Club of Cheyenne member. Tickets are being sold at 1 for $50 or 3 for $100.
