Thanks to everyone who joined our meeting on Tuesday! We had 61 people total, including 54 Steamboat Rotarians and 7 guests.
Angela Catterson brought the Thought for the Day: "Trying to think of the positive things in life right now...High School soccer is on, most of the district students are back to school, COVID cases are down, people are getting vaccinated. Not bad considering where we were a year ago which these thoughts of the day brought me back to last year at this time..."
"I don't mean to brag, but I put together a puzzle in one day and the box said 2-4 years."
"You really never realize what you have till it's gone...Toilet paper is a good example."
"Why, yes, I could start my day without coffee, but I like being able to remember things like how to say words and put on pants(not completely necessary these days with Zoom...)
Dos Crow and his son, Dean, raised $633 in Good News today! (Adorable children always help the Good News pot!)
Thank you Kelly Romero-Heaney, Water Resources Manager at the City of SS, and Tim Sullivan, Natural Climate Solutions Director at Yampa Valley Sustainability Council for presenting today. Their presentation, "Yampa River Health and Climate Resilience in Steamboat Springs", is attached. If anyone would like to read the study referenced during the presentation "Wetland and Stream Restoration Opportunities on City of Steamboat Springs Lands and Waters" email me and I will send it to you.
