First, regarding the upcoming events that we have been discussing regarding Front Range Flooding Disaster projects, we have the following planned:

We are hosting a fundraiser the 8th of October in the evening at the Laundry (thank you Rex). The club has kicked in $5,000 and we hope to raise another $5,000 at the event. This will be an evening of good food and wine (thank you Greg and Central Park Liquors). Please see the attached invitation and make your reservation directly with the Laundry Restaurant, 870-0681. There are only 80 seats at the Laundry, so please do this ASAP if you plan on attending.

Second, I am working on a boots on the ground project with the Estes Park Sunrise Rotary Club through past president Jane Schoen. We have this scheduled for the weekend of October 19-20, so those of you who were interested please block your calendar. More details will follow as I get them from Jane.

From today’s meeting:

Jane Toothacher gave our thought for the day. Thank you Paula Cooper Black for serving as our greeter and introducing our visiting Rotarians and Guests.

We celebrated Alice Klauzer, Steve Sehnert, John Holloway, Kristal Eckley, Eric Rabesa, John Centner and John Kuhn’s October birthdays with song and cake.

Debbie Aragon announced that we will be singing at the Doak on the 15th.

Randy Rudasics announced that we still have a couple sponsorship opportunities in Rotary in Action.

Leslie Gammel announced that we will be doing the four way test in the middle schools on November 19th in lieu of our regular meeting.

Welcome Ian Engle and Lisa Schlichtman, our newly inducted members!

Thank you to Alice Klauzer for leading us in good news today.

Our program was Brad Meeks’ classification talk.
