Meeting Notes - October 2, 2012
In our meeting today, Angela Catterson and Lynaia South served as our greeters, Dave Wittlinger provided our thought for the day, Henry Evans led us in a rousing rendition of “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” and Scott Marr served as our Good News solicitor. Eric Rabesa was inducted as a new member of our club, with Mike Roberts, Dan Hagney, and Eric Gripentroeg as sponsors. Eric has already jumped into club activities and is working on the Community Holiday Party committee to plan and host the sledding / holiday party to be held for the community at Howelsen Hill in December.
Our program for the day was the local candidate election forum moderated by Geneva Taylor, with candidates Jim “Moose” Barrows and Tim Corrigan in attendance for County Commissioner District 1 and Tina Kyprios and Doug Monger in attendance for District 2.
Next week’s meeting will be held at CMC – Randy Rudasics noted that CMC has reserved the parking lot just below Bristol Hall for Rotarians – so when you drive up Bob Adams Drive, turn right at the Y and then immediately turn right into the reserved parking lot. Parking will still be tight, so consider carpooling…..
Save the Date! 4 Way Test in the Steamboat Springs Middle School is November 13. In lieu of the noon meeting, all Rotarians are asked to meet at the Middle School in the morning – tentative meeting time is 8:15 AM.
Youth Exchange – year long program applications are due to Lynaia South on October 8, which is next Monday. Summer applications will be due on November 2.
Have a great week!
