Sharon Mensing and Rex Brice served as our greeters at the meeting today, Sam Haslem provided the thought for the day, the club club sang "For S/He's a Jolly Good Fellow" to club members celebrating their anniversaries as members of the club, including Bill Kennedy (4 years), Winnie DelliQuadri (8 years), Jane Denning (9 years), Nancy Spillane (9 years), John Holloway (20 years), and Geneva Taylor (24 years.)  Thank you rotarians for your years of service!  Good News was a rousing success (largely due to football season) and resulted in over $600 for scholarships.  Attendance was 65%.

Karl Bunker and Debbie Aragon reminded club members that next week is Flower Barrel pickup - there will be no lunch meeting, instead members and their families and friends should meet at the Rodeo Grounds at 5:30 to pick up the flower barrels.  Please come to help!  We need trucks with trailers and also volunteers to help carry the barrels.  The Steamboat Smokehouse will provide a BBQ once we've collected all the flowers - so plan on bringing your entire family, including the kids.

The program today featured four of our eight summer youth exchange students.  Kelly Borgerding, Lara Henry, Grant Verploeg, and Andrew Hitchcock each told us about their summer exchange experiences - where they went, the highlights, the challenges, and what they learned through the experience.  Each student went to a different country, with different host families, different travels, and different challenges, however each student was able to articulate how they learned from the experience - be it having more appreciation for their family, understanding that teens are the same everywhere, breaking down stereotypes, or learning more about themselves.  Each student also thanked the club for making the exchange possible.  Kudos to each student and their families for all of their work, effort, and persistence in making their exchange the best exchange possible.
