Wow! We had a great meeting today. Our speaker was Amanda Walker who just returned from her exchange student year in Australia. Her talk and pictures were very interesting and she left us all very inspired about the benefits of this Rotary Exchange Program.
John Centner talked about his work in Houston during the last week and included some pictures that he took of the flooding devastation (and a selfie!) showing a 15 foot Interstate underpass nearly flooded completely. . .
We also collected more than enough to meet the full $5,000 match from our club endowment fund. Thanks to everyone who donated. If you said you would send in a check to the YVCF please do this right away or make your payment on-line. If you asked us to bill you we will do that this week so that we can complete this fundraiser by Sept 12.
