Michelle Garner provided our Vote themed Thoughts for the Day:
“Someone struggled for your right to vote. Use it.” Susan B. Anthony
"Not voting is not a protest. It is a surrender." Keith Ellison
“We do not have government by the majority. We have government by the majority who participate.” Thomas Jefferson
“If you don’t vote, you lose the right to complain.” George Carlin “Somewhere inside of all of us is the power to change the world.” Roald Dahl
Tiffany Leeson raised $550 through Good News.
Thank you to John Major, the Reference Librarian at Bud Werner Memorial Library, for teaching us about the ample online resources available through the library. I spent the rest of the afternoon repeating all that I had learned and watching peoples faces light up as they realized how much (eBooks, Newspapers, Audio Books, movies, test prep, language lessons, and so much more) is available AT NO COST through our community library! If you would like more information, John Major is happy to give more detailed lessons. He can be contacted at jmajor@steamboatlibrary.org.
