Thank you to everyone who joined our Rotary meeting today featuring District Governor Chris Woodruff and his wife Karoline. We had 40 Rotarians, 7 guests including Chris and Karoline Woodruff, and 1 visiting Rotarian on our meeting.
Jeremy Behling provided a couple of Craig Groeschel Thoughts for the Day:
"We may impress people with our strengths. But we connect with people through our weaknesses."
"The decisions you make today will determine the stories you tell tomorrow."
"We must remember that our lives are the sum total of all the small decisions we make."
Heather Martyn and Sung Ioffredo were inducted into the club today. Welcome!
District Governor Chris Woodruff presented on RI Goals and Priorities including:
1. Increase Rotary's Impact
2. Expand Rotary's Reach
3. Enhance Rotarian Engagement
4. Increase Rotary's Adaptability (I think COVID is really helping us implement this one!)
I was also happy to hear that RI has expanded their areas of focus to include support for the environment.
- Peace and conflict prevention/resolution
- Disease prevention and treatment
- Water and sanitation
- Maternal and child health
- Basic education and literacy
- Economic and community development
- SUPPORT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
DG Chris presented Randy and the 2019-2020 board with the Rotary Citation awarded for helping "Rotary Connect the World". The Rotary Club of Steamboat Springs was one of 5 clubs, out of the 54 in District 5440, to receive this award!
Tim & Baby James White raised $560 through Good News!
