The club has an endowment which is held and managed by the Yampa Valley Community Foundation.  Currently the endowment has a balance of $318,000.  Principal within the endowment is never spent – however earnings are spent.  Each year the club disperses 4.5% of the endowment’s previous year balance for grants.  Once the club reaches the new goal of $500,000 in the endowment, the earnings from the endowment will constitute the club’s biggest annual fundraiser.  At the February 26th meeting, the Foundation committee updated our donor board and presented the following Rotarians with Jack Black Fellows plaques for their contributions to the endowment:

$1,000 level:  Randy Rudasics, PJ Wharton

$2,000 level: Dan Callahan, Coleman Cook

$3,000 level: Jane Denning

$5,000 level:  Scott Marr

$6,000 level:  Cam Boyd, Paula Cooper Black, Dave Zabel

$18,000 level: Greg Stetman

Much thanks to the Foundation Committee – Greg Stetman, Grant Fenton, Paula Cooper Black, Mark Anderson, Cam Boyd - for all of their hard work on revitalizing foundation efforts, updating the board, and recognizing contributions to the endowment.
