Thanks to everyone who joined our meeting on Tuesday! We had 52 people total, 45 Steamboat Rotarians and 7 guests including several scholarship recipients!
Thanks to Lisa Schlictman for Thought for the Day (she was put on the spot for this one. It is paraphrased by me because you know coming from Lisa it was much more eloquent!)
"Live big each day (like Mike) and do so with gratitude. You never know how much time you have."
Presentations from our exchange student Andy Henderson and new member Larry Wennogle are attached.
Chris Stillwell rocked Good News today. The club's generosity brought in $587 through Good News and another $125 for Lift Up. Thanks Michelle Garner!

Announcements and Upcoming:
Board Meeting Updates: The June BOD meeting was on Monday. At that meeting, we regretfully accepted three resignations of outstanding members. Meg Morse's responsibilities at the Steamboat Mountain School have changed and she is planning for a move to Salt Lake City next summer. Angi Wood is moving to Oklahoma City. Brian Small (Doc) is also moving out of Steamboat. Please reach out to them to say goodbye! They will be missed.
A 3 month Leave of Absence was accepted for John Holloway while he recovers from back surgery. He is thankful for all of the care club members have given during his recovery.
Jack Black Fellow: Congratulations Lisa Schlictman on becoming a Jack Black fellow!
RI President's Citation: (Message delivered from Steve Sehnert) Congratulations! Our club is one of three in this District to receive the RI President’s Citation. See the attached pdf of the listing from our District. To qualify this year we had to select at least 13 goals from the list in Rotary Club Central and accomplish all of the ones chosen (and pay our semi-annual dues invoices to RI before the due dates). We actually accomplished 17 goals – and paid our dues – Thanks Angela. The goals selected can be seen in Rotary Club Central from the RI website. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kBGEAlrg2GU-PVOyJvaZrLgNUak4M4Fo/view?usp=sharing
One of the goals had to do with projects completed. We accomplished 8 projects which was down from previous years due to the pandemic. Two of the eight projects were submitted on our behalf by the Agua Prieta Rotary Club.
Flower Barrels: Chancie Keenan thanked everyone for their help delivering those beautiful flowers last week. There are still 7 wooden barrels and 7 terra cotta barrels. If you would like one, reach out to Chancie at chancie.k@gmail.com.
