Thanks to everyone who showed up on Tuesday to round up and store all of those flower barrels. And a huge thank you to Chancie Keenan who organized the event so well. I think it is the smoothest one yet!
Monday was the board meeting. I am impressed that we have so much going on right now! This is exactly what makes our club so incredible!
4 new members were approved - Larry Wennogle, Heather Martyn, Karen Wray and Sung Ioffredo. Please make an extra effort to get to know these people. This is a tough time to join a new club!
Leave of Absences were approved for Adam Maines (6 months), Kristal Eckley (3 mos), and regretfully Alex Kleman who is taking a LOA in order to transfer his membership to a club in Durango, where his family is relocating. Best of luck to you Alex. Steamboat will miss you!
Randy Rudasics is organizing the nominating committee in order to start assembling next year's board of directors. There are 4 spots opening up on the board as well as the Secretary and President Elect positions. Please reach out to him if you are interested in being on the board.
Lori Livingston, Karen Schneider, Loretta Conway and Tiffany Leeson exercised their "Service Above Self" helping Partners reorganize and move their offices. Thanks ladies!
Ashley Kane received word from SSHS that Interact is a go this year! Yay!
Ian Engle, Andy Booker and Loretta Conway are coordinating the Holiday Tubing Party and what it will look like in 2020. Please be ready to lend a hand to them as they rework the event to work with this year's obstacles!
John Holloway and Margaret Redfurn organized the Peace Pavilion clean up last weekend. Thanks to all who showed up and contributed! We lost several trees in the park. Mitch Clark with Snowcountry Nursery has offered to donate Aspen trees to replace those lost. We will need to purchase the 4 Cottonwoods that need to be replaced. Thank you Scott Marr for offering to purchase one of those for the club!
And last, but certainly not least, Steve Sehnert, that brave soul, is putting his hat in the ring to be District Governor in 2023-2024! We are so excited about his involvement and look forward to supporting him through this! If selected, this will also mean that Steamboat will host the District Conference in 2024. Congratulations Steve!
Please join us next Tuesday for another in person meeting at Rex's. The lunch will be sponsored by Dan Bonner (THPK) and PJ Wharton (Yampa Valley Bank). Gretchen Van de Carr from Rocky Mountain Youth Corps will be presenting.
Have a great weekend,
Gillian
