Thank you so much to Michelle Garner of the Garner Group at eXp Realty for sponsoring our lunch at Rex's! This was our last lunch at Rex's for now, but in two weeks (October 13), Coleman Cook, Marci Valicenti and Scott Wither will be sponsoring an in person lunch at Snow Bowl (weather permitting)!
We had a WHOPPING 70 participants at this week's meeting! That included 49 in person Steamboat Rotarians, 11 Zoomers, 2 visiting Rotarians and 8 guests! Thanks again to Chris Stillwell and Mark Fitzgerald for making A/V and Zoom work! And thanks again to Rex's crew!
Kathy Elliott provided a couple of Thoughts for the Day:
"Sometimes you have to let go of the picture of what you thought life would be like and learn to find the joy in the story you are actually living." - Rachel Marie Martin

"Life is all about balance. You don't always need to be getting stuff done. Sometimes it's perfectly okay, and absolutely necessary, to shut down, kick back and do nothing." - Lori Deschene
Michelle Petix, Executive Director of Partners, presented today. We learned so much about the program. Michelle summed up "what they do" in a few words with "We invest in youth with time and love." Her presentation is attached.

District and International Updates
Congratulations Brittney "Bert" Woodrum for accomplishing her goal of climbing all 58 14ers! Her fundraising far exceeded her goal and is currently at $82,000! Thanks to Steamboat Rotarian, Filip Boelen, for helping her through several of those mountains! What an inspiration and how lucky were were to have had her present to us in person and join us at the Moon Hill Dairy fundraiser!
Next week's meeting (October 6th) will be District Governor Chris Woodruff and will be only available via Zoom. Please remember that it is customary to stand when the DG is introduced, even when virtual.
We will continue to look for comfortable and creative ways to meet in person. Please reach out to me with your ideas!
