Skyler Kauf is September's Student of the Month

The Rotary Club of Steamboat Springs is pleased to honor Skyler Kauf as the Student of the Month for September.
Skyler is described by teachers and counselors at the Steamboat Springs High School as an outstanding athlete, leader on campus, and an overall role model in the school community. As an athlete, Skyler has been the football team captain for two years and has qualified for nationals in skiing. His most admirable trait when it comes to athletics is his leadership. He is a young man with great character and moral value. He is a natural leader who is outgoing, responsible, friendly and confident. He good at organizing events and groups of people and is concerned about fairness. He is also a realistic and down to earth person, which is why most students at the High School respect him. His many friends admire his strong work ethic and know him to be a person of his word. He is talented on the field and mountain, but he is equally talented when it comes to mentoring and leading others. Being a captain of a team that has struggled to win takes perseverance and deep devotion, and Skyler has both of these. Skyler is also a member of the National Honor Society, where he is involved in numerous community service projects.
