Work Day at Rotary Park
Report from John Holloway:
It was cold, cloudy and rainy on Saturday so a special thanks to Ellen Kendall and son Nick, Kris Hammond, Jim Moylan, and Tara Weaver for helping on Saturday at Rotary Park. We got everything completed that we wanted to get done.
The pump house is empty, except for a few hand tools and some beaver guard fencing. Trees were trimmed and looking good. Storage unit is nice and tidy and brimming, too.
We had a chance to meet and talk to the park superintendent, Robbie Shine. He’ll take good care of the park and the irrigation system. Please thank our city councilman and Parks and Rec staff/commissioners if you see them, for their support and assistance with Rotary Park and for taking on the mowing and irrigation system.
New pavers (about a dozen) have been installed in the Pavilion by Jeremy Braziel and they, and the Pavilion as a whole, look fantastic. Thanks to Jeremy for his nice work.
PS - When we arrived at the Rotary Park Parking Lot on Saturday morning, Tara and I saw an eagle fly down the river past the Pavilion. It had to be Michael, bless his heart and rest his soul. JPHJ
