Young RYLA - Emily Wertz - thank you letter to the club
Emily Wertz, from the Steamboat Springs Middle School, attended Young RYLA and sent a really nice letter of thanks to the club. Here's the text from the letter:
Thank you, Rotarians for a life changing trip to Young RYLA. I have been inspired a lot but not as much as when I went to YRLYA. Because of your YRLA camps, your generosity, and your acceptance, my heart has been permanently changed and I would like to inspire people by starting an Interact club (at the middle school). I don't know who started YRYLA but if it wasn't that one person who started it, people wouldn't know what YRYLA means, the important leadership skills, and the stories that teach and inspire. If it wasn't for YRYLA, I wouldn't have leadership skills to cope with life. Even though I've just learned these leadership skills, they'll change me and my friends in more than one way. Even though YRYLA was inspirational, I couldn't have made it without you. Even though your're just individual Rotarians, you are more important than any other leadership camp I've been to and you have, are, and will change lives. I'm so glad you accepted me into your leadership camp with your generosity. I was shocked when I realized that you had accepted me and that meant a ton to me. Thank you, Rotarians for a life changing trip to Young RYLA. Thanks a lot! Your friend, Emily.
