Rotary Food For Thought:

Rotary is not a spectator sport.

The more you put into Rotary, the more you get out of it. While attending meetings is a great way to stay connected, the real magic of Rotary happens when you get involved—serving on committees, helping with projects, supporting events, and working alongside fellow members to make a difference in our community.

Volunteering is where relationships are built, leadership skills are developed, and the impact of Rotary truly comes to life. It is through service that we discover new friendships, deepen our understanding of our community's needs, and experience firsthand the power of "Service Above Self."

Whether you have an hour a month or several hours a week, there is a place for everyone to contribute. Every committee, project, and event relies on members who are willing to step forward and share their time, talents, and ideas.

If you've ever wondered how to get more out of Rotary, the answer is simple: get involved. Join a committee. Volunteer for a project. Raise your hand when help is needed. The best way to get Rotary in you is to roll up your sleeves and become part of the work that makes our club so special.

Together, we don't just belong to Rotary—we bring Rotary to life.

Weekly Meeting Recap - July 21, 2026

Fishhook Fire Update: Fire Chief Chuck Cerasoli gave a great, incredibly informative update on Fishhook fire and answered questions from the Club. So lucky to have the Chief in the Club and for all those helping to keep our community safe from wild fire.

Program: We had the pleasure of hearing from two Rotarians. Bill Steeleman gave his New Member talk and Jim Steinberg gave his Vintage Member talk and shared how Rotary has played a large role in that. Jim is the longest-standing member of the Rotary Club of Steamboat Springs (40 years!).

Next Meeting: Tuesday, July 28th at the Community Center. We'll be hearing from the Rotary LobsterFest Committee and LiftUp. We'll also have a short presentation from our STEP summer Rotary exchange students.

We did this last year, and it was great fun! We'll be doing this in collaboration with the Ski Town Morning Club this year. The Epic supports Partners for Youth and Routt County Riders.

Weekly Rotary Park Clean Up

We have had several inquiries asking how members can help with the earthquake disasters in Venezuela. ShelterBox is responding to the devastating disaster in Venezuela, where families are facing urgent shelter and basic aid needs. ShelterBox has aid positioned in the region, a team deploying, and is working with Rotary and local partners to assess needs and deliver support.

As you know, ShelterBox and Rotary International are Project Partners in Disaster Relief. Rotary’s support can make a meaningful difference for families affected by this crisis. Please share this information with your members as you see fit.
