CLUB PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE:

I wanted to take this opportunity to share my gratitude to you all for allowing me to serve as this year's Club President. Rotary has been part of my life ever since I was born, as my Father was a member of this Club and still remains a Rotarian in the Ski Town Morning Rotary Club. Fun fact: my brother and sister are both Rotarians as well! It must be in our blood!

As we begin a new year, my hope is that we continue to build on our strong foundation as a Club while creating opportunities for every member to feel engaged, connected, and proud to be part of this Club. I want this to be a year of meaningful service, new ideas, lasting connections, and hopefully a bit of fun along the way.

One thing that makes our club so special is the commitment, generosity, and dedication each of you has to making a difference – whether it's through local service projects, our youth programming, investing in our community, or international initiatives. Together we embody Rotary's motto of Service Above Self, and I'm inspired by what we can accomplish when we work together.

This year I certainly won't have all the answers, but I know that with the talent, experience, and heart that exists in our Club, we'll accomplish great things together. I'm looking forward to listening, learning, and working alongside you all.

Let's make this year great!

Tara Weaver

Program: We had the pleasure of having two new Rotarians, Angela Cosby and Tom Channa, give their New Member talks. Always a great program to hear about our fellow Rotarians. If you missed out, find a time to hit them up for coffee or lunch. Thank you, Angela and Tom, for sharing your journeys with us!

Next Meeting: Tuesday, July 14th at the Community Center. We'll be hearing from Rich Fisher about WASH (water and sanitation and hygiene). WASH is a proposed global grant that intends to harvest, store and filter rainwater in six Kenya schools serving 4400 students in the Great Rift Valley. Additionally, the project will bring washable feminine kits for girls, handwashing, and a vegetable garden. This will be a GREAT program to see Rotary from a global perspective! See you then!

Respectfully Submitted,

Tara Weaver
