Rotary Food For Thought:

Being a Rotarian means being part of something bigger than yourselfโ€”and being a member of the Rotary Club of Steamboat Springs makes that especially meaningful. We have the opportunity to serve the community we love, build genuine friendships, connect with people we might not otherwise meet, and make a real difference both here at home and around the world.

For more than 50 years, our club has been part of the fabric of Steamboat Springsโ€”bringing people together, supporting local organizations, investing in our youth, volunteering our time, and stepping up when our community needs us.

But Rotary isnโ€™t just about what we give. Itโ€™s also about what we gain: friendships, connections, purpose, new experiences, and the satisfaction of knowing that our time and talents are helping make our community a little better.

Thatโ€™s what makes it great to be a Rotarianโ€”and especially a Steamboat Springs Rotarian.

The Lockhart Fields are so more than fields! To learn more about their capital campaign and Lockhart Fields visit: www.steamboat-soccer.com

Was very cool to learn that 25 of Steamboat Soccer Club's Youth Council members (ages 11-17) have raised over $100,000 in funds themselves โ€“ amazing!

Next Meeting: ROTARY AT THE RANCH! Tuesday, August 25th at Rockin C Bar Ranch at noon. We'll be hearing from Routt County CattleWomen, Adonna Allen and Marsha Daughenbaugh, about what makes ranching in this area unique.  From the short growing season, great protein value of our grasses, western water rights, our countyโ€™s strong conservation program & PDR as well as an ever-evolving community, youโ€™ll hear it straight from the horses mouths.  This is your opportunity to ask questions and get real answers too!

Sign Up Here if you are coming and any guests that you are bringing, so we can ensure that we have a box lunch for you.

If you have time or interest, then feel free to stick around for a short 15โ€“20-minute tour after lunch with Marsha.

From The Rotary Foundation:

Whether you're creating your first will or updating an existing one, National Make-a-Will Month in August is an ideal time to take action.

Life changes โ€” such as marriage, welcoming children or grandchildren, caring for aging parents, retirement, or changes in your financial circumstances โ€” are all good reasons to review and update your arrangements.

To make the process easier, Rotary members can access FreeWill, an online estate planning resource. In about 20 minutes, you can create a simple will or generate an estate planning summary to discuss with your legal adviser.

And as you consider your future, you may also choose to include a gift to The Rotary Foundation.* Many Rotary members and friends of the Foundation find comfort in knowing that they can support the causes and values that have shaped their lives.

If youโ€™d like to explore your options, our Planned Giving team is here to help.

If you have already included The Rotary Foundation in your will or estate plan, please let us know so we can thank you, ensure your wishes are understood, and welcome you into Rotaryโ€™s legacy giving community.

We hope this member benefit helps you plan for the future with confidence, to care for those you love and continue Doing Good in the World for generations to come.

Sincerely,

The Rotary Foundation

*Always consult your personal legal and tax advisers before you make a charitable gift.
