Board Location Change: Monday’s Board of Directors meeting will be at Yampa Valley Bank (please park on the side) and not to worry, it will still be catered by Rex’s.
District Assembly, April 23rd. Ellen is looking for members who may like to have a Saturday roadtrip to Cheyenne in support of our District’s efforts. For several of us, the District Assembly (like the District Conference) was the time when we really understood and appreciated what the District and RI was all about. An especially good thing for new members to attend!
District Conference, May 19 -22 Jackson Hole, WY. Same reasons as above but will also include some nice recognition for our club and time for great fellowship. Also, exceptional location at Jackson Lake Lodge. We currently have 7 members planning to attend. www.rotary5440.org for more information and to register.

ROTARIAN BIRTHDAYS: Ian Engle-3rd, David Scully- 3rd, Jim Nowak-9th, Randy Rudasics-9th, Brian Harvey-14th, Todd Hayes-16th, Rex Brice-17th, Mike Forney-18th.
STEAMBOAT MINUTE: David Scully, Owner, David Chase Rugs and Furniture. 22 years in Steamboat and now a new location-Central Park Plaza. Designing the interior of incredible residences and businesses.
Carol Parish, Owner, Elevated Olive, Over 50 different olive oils and balsamic vinegars, specialty foods, ceramics, and linens. Recently added a wine shop. Gift baskets for clients, friends, and family.
PROGRAM: Rotary Club of Steamboat Springs Endowment, Co-chairs Scott Marr and Grant Fenton. The program included: Why it matters and our vision for the future - Greg Stetman, The history of the endowment and Jack Black – Paula Cooper Black, Overview of Foundation/Giving Task Force – Steve Hitchcock, Recognition of new donation milestones – Scott Marr and Grant Fenton. Congratulations and gratitude to new Jack Black Fellows ($1,000 level) – Brian Harrington, Lori Livingston, Julie Taulman, Dan Hagney, Paul Hebert. And also to new donation milestones earned by Suzanne Schlicht, Grant Fenton, Mignon Stetman, Alice Klauzer, Karl Gills, Debbie Aragon and Karl Bunker and finally, a huge thank you to Greg Stetman for his newest donation level of $21,000! The program reminded us (long time members) and informed us (newer members) as to the significant impact we are able to make in our community because of the endowment’s ability to help fund the needs of our community organizations. And all because of the exceptional generosity of our members. This was such a well done and impactful program. Thanks to each of you who presented and to all in our club who support our endowment. Our goal is to have each member give $25 per quarter or $100 per year, which makes you a "sustaining member". By the way, the current balance in the Steamboat Springs Rotary Club Endowment, for which we can all be very proud, is $442.671.86!
And a final example of generosity: Jeremy Behling won the “you had to be there” $100 gift certificate to Rex’s. He said, “Let’s auction it and give the money to the foundation.” The highest bid was $300 and Jeremy was that bidder! Thanks, Jeremy – what an appreciated gesture!
GOOD NEWS: Thanks to Chris Stillwell for his nice job in doing “Good News” and for even providing the hat!
