FOR THOSE ROTARIANS WHO MISSED THE TUESDAY, MAY 12, 2015 MEETING
First, thank you to Director and Treasurer, Randy Rudasics for arranging to host our meeting at Colorado Mountain College, always a great venue for views of our beautiful Yampa Valley. Thank you also to Alpine Campus Vice-President, Peter Perhac for making the CMC Facility available.
Rotarian, Brad Meeks, Superintendent of the Steamboat Springs School District RE-2 and his colleagues: Jeff Chamberlain – Owner’s Rep., RLH Engineering, Pascal Ginesta – Director of Maintenance, Operations and Transportation and Marty Lamansky, Director of Teaching and Learning, headlined our Program on the building and renovation options for Steamboat’s various school facilities.  There certainly are options, opportunities, constraints and benefits in this far reaching and long-range process. Thank you for your candid presentation. There is certainly a lot to think about.
Bobby Davis served as our Greeter and introduced our Guests and visiting Rotarians. Thank you, Bobby, well done.
Our Thought for the Day was provided by Mike Schlictman, with a number of variations on the theme of “Worry.”  Thank you, Mike.
Winnie has called a meeting of the Program Committee for Tuesday, May 19, 2015, 8:00 am at: “The Paddlewheel.” All interested Club Members are encouraged to attend.
Upcoming events include: Routt County Highway Clean-up, United Way Day of Caring, Hayden American Legion – RCCOA, Flower Barrels, Ski Town Golf Classic, District 5440 Conference in Fort Collins, and Paula circulated a sign-up sheet for weekly care of Rotary River Park this Summer.
Gillian announced that we compiled a: “Steamboat Springs Get-A-Way Weekend Gift Basket” with a value of approximately $900.00, for Past District Governor, Julie Phares’ Longs Peak Rotary Club in Estes Park, CO.’s fundraiser to benefit  children’s nutrition. Thank you to all our providers of Gift Certificates to put together this fine Gift Basket.
