FOR THOSE ROTARIANS WHO MISSED THE TUESDAY, MARCH 31, 2015 MEETING
We recognized, honored and celebrated those Club members who contribute to our local Steamboat Rotary Foundation and became Jack Black Fellows for the first time and those who achieved multiple Jack Black Fellows. First time Jack Black Fellows are: Holly Larson, Jeremy Behling, Brad Meeks, John Kuhn, Brian Harvey, Ellen Kendall, Gillian Morris, Steve Sehnert, Winnie DelliQuadri and Jim Nowak. The following multiple Jack Black Fellows, were also recognized, honored and celebrated: Paula Black, (+12), Scott Marr, (+11), Cam Boyd, (+10). The following Club members are Jack Black Fellows, (+4): Suzanne Schlicht, Jane Denning, Sam Haslem, and John Centner. Jack Black Fellows (+3) are: Geneva Taylor, John Holloway, Holly Rogers, Steve Frasier, Jim Steinberg and Jim Moylan. Jack Black Fellows (+2) are: Kerry Shea, Debbie Aragon, Karl Gills, P.J. Wharton, Steve Hitchcock, Karl Bunker, Dan Bonner and Rex Brice. Thank you all for your generosity and financial commitment to our local endowment. We are very close to attaining our goal of funding our endowment at $500,000. Thank you to our Foundation Leadership: Scott Marr, Grant Fenton and Mike Forney for organizing and presenting our Foundation Program. Well done, Gentlemen.
Thank you to our Greeters, Sharon Mensing and Dan Shields. Dan also introduced our guests and visiting Rotarians. Jim gave us our Thought for the Day, primarily consisting of court proceeding transcripts from: “Disorder in the American Courts.” Thank you also to Brian Harvey, for taking care of: “Good News,” for us.
Dan Callahan introduced our Student of the Month, Lindsey Adler from Steamboat Springs High School. Lindsey was accompanied by her parents and her SSHS teacher, Ms. Cindy Gray. Lindsey has a very impressive resume and a very promising future ahead of her. Congratulations, Lindsey and best wishes for your future success.
Lynaia South and Dillon Fulcher were recognized as our Rotarians of the Month, for their work on Rotary District 5440 Exchange Student Ski Weekend. Great job Lynaia and Dillon, I know all the participants were most of appreciative of all your efforts.
We thanked the Marrs, Lynne and Scott, for hosting our New Member Reception at their home on Monday evening. Thank you to Ellen Kendall and her Membership Committee for bringing us: “The best New Members, ever!” Thank you to our New Member Sponsors and present and past BOD Members for bringing the appetizers and “Festive Adult Beverages.” It was a very fun evening!
