In memory of Don Lufkin, an honorary member of our club
Hello Rotarians,
As many of you have read in the newspaper, Don Lufkin, an honorary member of our club, recently passed away. His memorial service is this Thursday, December 13, at 11 am at the Methodist Church. We will also take a moment to remember him at our next club meeting on December 18th.
Here are the links to both Don's obituary and the article which featured his contributions to the community.

Don was a very active member of our club for many years. In addition to his involvement in service projects, he donated substantial funds to the club, which were then used to create the Don Lufkin Rotary Lift Up Endowment fund at the Yampa Valley Community Foundation. The fund was set up under the direction of the club's executive committee and interest from the fund makes quarterly payments to Lift Up's food bank.
I had the honor of working with Don on the restoration of the Mesa Schoolhouse, the little red schoolhouse at the base of rabbit ears pass. He was a great man and a true character, and our community is better for his involvement.
