Rotary Anniversaries: Rich Gloor celebrating 45 years this month as a Rotarian. Bill Leeson at 39 years, and John Holloway 29 years. Winnie, 17; Michelle Garner, 13; and the spouses Allison 4 years.
Thought for the day
was provided by Chief Chuck Cerasoli, from one of his favorite sports movies, Coach Carter:
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness That most frightens us.
We ask ourselves Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
Your playing small Does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking So that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, As children do.
We were born to make manifest The glory that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; It's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we're liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

Program
Today's program was a very interesting presentation by Kimball Crangle from the Sunlight Housing Project, a 92-unit affordable housing project being constructed west of town (across from the old Steamboat Pilot building). She works for Gorman & Company, an employee-owned "mission-aligned for-profit developer". Click the Youtube link above to see her presentation.
