Kim Keith and Dagny McKinley from Steamboat Creates were our program today. They really touched on the effects of COVID19 on the creative sector and the way the Steamboat Creates has quickly adapted in order to support the creative community. They are definitely demonstrating their commitment to the organization's mission!

Announcements and Upcoming:
September 14 is the next board meeting. It will be at Rex's at noon and all are welcome.
Flower barrel pick up is Tuesday, September 15th. There will be no lunch meeting that day. Instead, we will meet in the evening with trucks and trailers. Lots of volunteers are needed to make this go smoothly! Look for more details from Chancie Keenan shortly.
Randy Rudasics will host both an in person and virtual happy hour in September. The in person gathering will be at the Meadows parking lot on Thursday, September 10th at 5PM. BYOB. The virtual will be on Thursday, September 24th at 4:30 PM. BYOB :-) A Zoom link will be sent out closer to the event.
Lori Livingston has been reaching out to our local non profits to see where Rotarians can help. She will be sending out needs as she receives them. Since we have no major fundraisers and United Way Day of Caring was cancelled this year, please consider allotting the time you would put into those into some of these requests. Here are the first two requests:
1. Steamboat Reading is looking for marketing help in order to make a brochure
2. Partners of Routt County is looking for 5 people to help organize their space during the week of September 7th.

John Holloway brought Margaret Redfurn, a junior at SSHS. Margaret has been doing independent community service projects and reached out to us to propose working on Rotary Park in order to liven it up a bit. What an amazing young woman! Margaret has drawn up a plan and she and John are putting together some work days for the club. There will be plenty of flexibility, so please find a time that fits with your schedule to help!
