The Steamboat Springs Rotary Club and its partner organizations are welcoming the community to join in a celebration of winter on Sunday, December 7 at Howelsen.  Please join the fun by volunteering to help at this free community event.

The Steamboat Springs Rotary Club is proud to recognize Isabella “Izzy” Hamric, a senior at Steamboat Springs High School, as its Rotary Student of the Month for October.

Izzy’s leadership, enthusiasm, and commitment to service embody Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self.” As Senior Class President, she is widely admired for her energy and positivity, helping to unite classmates through school activities and initiatives that foster inclusion and community spirit.

“Izzy is the sparkplug of student life,” wrote her school counselor, Cheryl Fullerton. “She approaches every challenge with impressive determination and balance, and she is truly a ring leader for good.”

In addition to her leadership roles in student government and the Sailor Senate, Izzy is also a captain of the girls’ flag football team, a member of the girls’ lacrosse team, and an avid snowboarder known for her competitive drive and sportsmanship. Whether on the field, in the classroom, or organizing school events, she leads by example — with kindness, integrity, and a contagious enthusiasm that lifts those around her.

Izzy’s grit, positivity, and passion for bringing people together make her a standout student and an exceptional representative of Steamboat Springs High School and we are honored to celebrate her as our Student of the Month.

Since the inception of LobsterFest in 2019, the Steamboat Springs Rotary Club has distributed $805,242 to local beneficiaries, including North Routt Charter School and the Sancy Shaw Soccer Field; Routt County Crisis Support; Yampa Valley RISE; Advocates of Routt County; NW Colorado Health; and REPS.
